Pain Management

PM&R is proud to be a collaborator with theDepartment of Anesthesiology’s ACGME accredited Pain Medicine fellowship. During the PGY-3 year, residents will spend 1 month with the outpatient pain clinic working with Pain Medicine fellows and attendings. There is often opportunity for participation in teaching and abstract development. The Upstate PM&R Department supports subspecialty certified Pain Medicine physiatrists, who are a part of the outpatient rotations.

The Upstate Pain Medicine fellowship program accepts 6 fellows each year. Generally one accepted fellow has completed residency training from the Upstate PM&R residency program.
